SAP Connect Day
In the age of artificial intelligence, organizational success will be determined not only by investments in technology, but also by the ability to align people and technology around a shared vision. During our SAPConnect session, we had the opportunity to explore the transformation of people and decision-making processes in the age of artificial intelligence through the valuable insights of OYAK Cement Country Director Eda Güzeldemir Demiray from an HR perspective and FLO Group Corporate Solutions IT Director Tolga KAMEROGLU from a technology and CIO perspective. The session was moderated by our Sales Director, Elif Demir. Eda Güzeldemir Demiray, Country Director of OYAK Cement, emphasized the importance of managing the employee experience end-to-end across multinational and multi-location organizations. She highlighted a next-generation HR approach in which all processes—from recruitment and performance management to learning and career development—are managed through a centralized platform, enabling faster and more personalized responses to employee needs through mobile experiences and AI-powered capabilities. She also shared insights into the Career Path Project implemented at OYAK Cement, made possible by the flexibility of SAP BTP alongside cloud-based standard solutions. The project provides employees with a sustainable digital framework to plan their career development, explore opportunities, and prepare for future roles. She noted that this approach serves as a strong example of balancing the power of standard solutions with organization-specific requirements. From a CIO perspective, Tolga KAMEROGLU, Corporate Solutions IT Director at FLO Group, stated that cloud transformation is no longer merely a technology initiative but a strategic journey toward building the AI backbone of the future. While sharing examples from FLO Group’s “Cloud & AI Transformation Year” initiatives, he emphasized that data is the fuel of artificial intelligence, and the cloud is the foundation that enables data to create value. He underlined that organizations must invest in cloud-based, integrated, and scalable platforms not only to accelerate current operations but also to unlock future value from AI. He described the SuccessFactors transformation at FLO Group as more than an HR system modernization project—it is a strategic transformation that has redefined the employee experience for 15,000 employees. By unifying employee data on a single HR backbone, FLO Group has achieved greater data integrity, regulatory compliance, and operational agility, while enabling HR teams to evolve from operational support functions into strategic, data-driven business partners. The key message of the session was clear: In the age of artificial intelligence, sustainable competitive advantage will belong to organizations that can successfully bring people, data, and technology together within a single strategic framework.
